Error description

  • If a CDP implement is forgotten and you detect this only when
installation a new PTF the CDP implement command can corrupt the
customization definition directory if the files of the new PTF
were already installed/shared. The CDP needs to take measures to
    avoid this.

Formerly, when a "implement' command has been issued either in
migration or customization mode but the incomplete
customization process was processed in the other mode, the
implemented customization data could be in a unpredictable
    state.

Problem conclusion

  • Now, the CDP has been improved by:
    1. a start up mode check:
A start in migration mode is not possible, if a customization
has not been finished (no 'implement' has been issued)
A start in customization mode is not possible, if a
migration has not been finished (no 'implement' has been
       issued)
    2. a new command 'status':
The new command status shows the preparation status, whether
an migration or a customization is pending, or no
       customization or migration is pending.
    3. an action log:
An action log is introduced that keeps a history of all CDP
       activities.
    4. a copy of the last used customization data
A copy of the customization data that has been used with the
last preparation of deployment data is saved.
This requires additional 10 MB space for the file system of
