PI35673: IMPROVE DIAGNOSTIC AND MONITORING POSSIBILITIES IN MSIF FA FILE HANDLING TO DETECT FILE CORRUPTIONS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Sometimes, during Sendfile Transfers, the file which
  arrives at the counterpart is corrupted. The SAG event journal
  indicates, that the filesize of the physical file transfered to
  the network is smaller than the filesize reported within WBIFN
  (though no compression was done).
  If WBIFN detects such a file size mismatch during processing,
  an event should be raised and the tracing needs to be improved
  to allow monitoring for such situations and allow to identify,
  where the file corruption occurs and which components in the
  environment are involved.
