APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Our user use the light pen mode on various CICS screens.
Currently it  is not functioning  with version 12 and had not
with version 11.  When configured for Mod 5 and  enable the
light pen mode in HOD and click on a light pen enabled
field, the emulator goes into a  X  clock.

Local fix

  • None except configure Mod size to MOD 2.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
* When a user enables the Light Pen mode and clicks on any of  *
* the light pen enabled fields, the emulator goes into a  X    *
* clock (System wait) and keyboard locks.                      *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
* Upgrade to IBM Host On-Demand 12.0.0.1 to avoid this issue   *
****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • Issue used to happen if there are more than 66 modified fields
on a green screen.  This exceeded the aid buffer size.  To
resolve, this buffer size of AID data was increased.
