Error description

  • HISTORY OF ISSUE:
    upgraded from 7216 to 7530

    NOTE:
Problem only occurs if we define the property
    mxe.webclient.verticalLabels as 1

Step 1. Go to Administration -> Conditional Expression and
    click new
Row button to Create a conditional expression __TST__
    Name: __TST__
    TYPE : EXPRESSION
EXPRESSION: 1=1 (if 1=1 is already taken try something else
    , 2=2,
    or 200=200, basically a true statement )

Step 2 Go to System Configuration -> Platform Configuration ->
Application Designer and open SR application and click on
    __Service
    Request__ Tab
Step 3 From __Select Action__ menu click on __Add/Modify
    Signature Options__
Step 4 Create a Signature Option (SigOption) __TST__
Step 5 Now scroll down, Right mouse click on __Reported By__ ->
    and Click Properties
Step 6 Go to Advance Tab and Click on Sigoption Icon (which
    looks like
    a magnifying glass)
Step 7. Select the Sigoption you created
Step 8 Click on __Configure Conditional Properties__
Step 9 On __Configure Conditional Properties__ page
    - Under Security Group chose __EVERYONE__
    - Under Conditions for security group EVERYONE , Select your
    Conditional Expression you created __TST__
    - Under Property Values of Condition __TST__. Property:
    inputmode.
    Value: required
    and click OK button.
Step 10 Save SR (in application designer)
Step 11 Now go to Security ->Security Groups, Open the group
    named
    __EVERYONE__ , Under Applications search __Service Request__;
then scroll down and filter __TEST__ to find your Test
Sigoption__ and grand access to this sigoption.
Step 12 Go to System Configuration ->Platform Configuration ->
    System
    Properties
    mxe.webclient.verticalLabels 1
    -Save it
    -Live Refresh it.
    -Logout from SCCD.
Step 13. Log back in to SCCD, Create a new SR by going to
    Service
Desk->Service Request, and click new ICON
Step 14 Click on icon next to Reported by __>>__ and Choose
    __select value__ from menu
Step 15 Now try to pick any value for example __Maxadmin__
    NOTICE
nothing happens. (and this is the problem in this PMR)
    browser hangs
    too at this stage.

    Note1:
Initially we thought that making changes to following system
    properties
    caused the problem
    mxe.webclient.homeButtonHeaders 1
    mxe.webclient.systemNavBar 1
    mxe.webclient.tabBreadCrumbs 1
    mxe.webclient.verticalLabels 1
    mxe.webclient.gotoButtonHeaders 1

    Note2:
But we later found that we just have to make change to ONE
    property
that problem occurs, and this is the one which causes the
    problem
    mxe.webclient.verticalLabels 1
