IT17820: THE "FRONT-END USAGE" LICENSING REPORT MAY SHOW PROBLEMS IF OPERATIONS CENTER LANGUAGE IS SET TO GERMAN.

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The "Front-end Usage" licensing report may show only few clients
    reporting a result comparing to the total (for example:
    "Clients Reporting: 10 of 2000").
    Moreover, when clicking on the number for the "Not reporting"
    Clients for any of the Server shown on the page, a listing
    "Clients" page is being opened but this is empty and may report
    the following message:
    
    "Daten können nicht abgerufen werden "
    
    (english translation is: "Data cannot be retrieved")
    
    
    Also the following popup error message may appear:
    
    "ANRG0202E ...Details: Unexpected character 'd' on line 1,
    column 2526"
    
    
    The above problems will only occur when Operations Center
    language is set to German.
    
    
    Tivoli Storage Manager Versions Affected:
    IBM Spectrum Protect Operations Center version 7.1.3 and later
    

Local fix

  • From "Front-end Usage" licensing report, click on the "Not
    reporting" number link, then when the "Clients" L2 panel
    displays with the error,click on the filter button and change
    the last drop down box from Bytes to KB.
