APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Errors occur when using a Web to HOD Integration framework that
  comprises Customer's own developed JavaScript functions that
  interface with IBM's HOD Session Manager APIs. The custom
  function uses the Host On-Demand Session Manager APIs within an
  enterprise business application to open a 3270 session and send
  keystrokes and command keys from the business application to a
  3270 session. Using Java 1.6.0_85 works fine.  Using Java 1.8
  revealed problems where if the user closes the HOD session and
  HOD browser, then attempts to open a new browser and HOD session
  from a test page or application, the  browser will open but the
  HOD session will not.
  
  The following describes the sequence of events:
  
  1. Open "Web to HOD Integration Test" page
  (HMWebToHODIntegrationTest.html).
  2. Click "Launch HOD" button.
  3. HOD browser opens.
  4. HOD session opens.
  5. Return to "Web to HOD Integration Test" page and click the
  "Close HOD" button.
  6. HOD session closes.
  7. HOD browser Closes.
  8. Click "Launch HOD" button.
  9. HOD browser opens.
  10. HOD session does not open.
    a. The hodApplet.startSession function completes without
  error.
    b. Repeated invocation of the hodApplet.getSessionID function
  returns null.

  * 11 with all the JRE's levels.                                *
