  • When navigating a WebFacing project the application may receive
a NUll Point Exception/
Unexpected exception while building Host Application Response.

Problem summary


    

  • This issue is specific to IE browser.  Due to a capital NAME
attribute in struts input tag, struts is creating a new name
attribute with empty value. Though other browsers ignoring this
empty parameter, IE is recognizing and attaching it to request.
Due to unnamed parameter nullpointer exception is being thrown.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • ssue has been fixed by changing the name attribute to samll
letters.
