APAR status

Error description

  • IBM Pesronal Communications users with their Host Code Page set
    to one of Japanese Host Code Pages: 930, 939, 1390 or 1399
    perform EDIT CLEAR.
    When connected to their host application,  Use Ctrl + F1 to see
    SO SI DBCS control characters. After copying below line to
    Clipboard.
    
    Paste it to inputable area. Pasted characters include SO SI
    DBCS control characters. Perform Edit command then Clear
    command.
    Then see DBCS chracters are removed but SO SI remain.

    In a IBM Personal Communications (Japanese) emulator session,
    create a rectangular copy area using the mouse and do
    EDIT->CLEAR action. All characters in and beyond the rectangle
    are removed. However, the SO and SI control characters are not.
    

Problem conclusion

  • PCSEDIT.DLL has been changed to clear the SO/SI pair.
    
    Fix scheduled for PCOM 6.0.15 Refresh Pack.
