Metadata mappings for MicroStrategy bridge imports

Product Documentation

Abstract

Learn how models, reports and other objects imported from MicroStrategy are displayed in the metadata repository of InfoSphere Information Server.

Content

To import metadata from MicroStrategy, you use the MicroStrategy bridge in InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager.

The table explains the metadata mappings for the bridge, including the following information:

  • Name of the object type in MicroStrategy, or the type of information that is mapped. When the first column of the table refers to information rather than to an object type, the information is enclosed in brackets.
  • Display name of the object in InfoSphere Information Server.
  • Internal name of the object in InfoSphere Information Server. The internal name is sometimes required for command-line tasks.
  • Which interfaces in InfoSphere Information Server display the object. The following abbreviations are used in the Where displayed column to indicate the interface:

  • MW
      InfoSphere Metadata Workbench
    SA
The staging area of InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager
    RM
The Repository Management tab of InfoSphere Metadata Asset Manager
    BG
      InfoSphere Business Glossary

For information on using the MicroStrategy bridge with InfoSphere Information Server, V11.3, see the MicroStrategy bridge reference.
