Error description

  • During indexing, if the crawler receives a fatal time out
    exception (for example, when the repository goes down) it
    remains in a "Stopping" state and cannot be restarted.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  • If a timeout occurs with the repository server while the crawler
    is attempting to stop, stopping crawling never completes.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The code was corrected to notify a Java class which waits for
    the crawler to stop.
