IBM Systems solution for SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator and IBM Flex System solution for SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator
Timely access to relevant information has always been critical to business success. With new data sources and more users, the importance of managing, processing and making sense of huge data volumes is even greater. SAP NetWeaver® Business Warehouse (BW) leads the way in providing a complete picture of your business from diverse data sources.
To access this data quickly, the "IBM Systems solution for SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse Accelerator" extends the traditional BW environment by crunching through terabytes of data in seconds. Based on IBM BladeCenter® HS23 and IBM Flex System x240 with the 8 core Intel® Xeon® processor E5-2670 and IBM storage, it enables faster business insight by turbo-charging your business warehouse capabilities.
If you have smaller data requirements, you can use the IBM System x3850 X5 for memory capacity requirements between 128GB and 256GB. The x3850 X5 configuration can also serve as a transition platform to SAP HANA™ if you plan to implement SAP HANA™ in the near future.
Customers who work with IBM and SAP can benefit from years of joint product development which allows our offerings to be integrated for easier implementation. For example, the unique IBM General Parallel File System™ (GPFS™) provides optimal performance, virtually unlimited scaling, and integrated High Availability and Disaster Recovery features. This has made it ideal for many of the world’s largest super computing implementations and performance intensive applications like BW Accelerator.
