IBM Recognized Leader in 2008 CRN Channel Champions Survey

Honored as Top Vendor in Six Categories

   
 

ARMONK, NY - 07 Mar 2008: IBM (NYSE: IBM) was named a 2008 CRN Channel Champion in six categories at an awards ceremony in Los Angeles, CA on March 6. The CRN Channel Champion award program, now in its 17th year, is sponsored by Everything Channel's CRN providing vital information for VARs and technology integrators.

IBM was recognized as the overall winner in the following categories:
  • Middleware: WebSphere
  • External Data Backup: Disk - DS Family (DS8000, DS4000) and Tape - LTO (Linear Tape Open)

  • Data & Information Management: Information Management
IBM also won in these sub-categories:

The CRN Channel Champions study measures overall Solution Provider perceptions of vendor products and services. The survey is the largest and broadest-based technology integrator market study in the industry. The result is a premier resource used by VARs and technology integrators throughout the industry to evaluate vendors and their programs.

The survey rated more than 100 vendors in 29 key product and service categories.
