KASB Bank implemented a leading global core banking application Mysis, provided by IBM, in 2006. To ensure availability of online systems, KASB had also opted to host its backup IT infrastructure in the IBM Business Continuity and Resiliency Services Facility in Karachi.
KASB has now enhanced the availability of the backup IT infrastructure in BC&RS facility by moving to IBM Rapid Recovery services for System i and System x.
Rapid Recovery delivers real time data replication and automatic switching in case of any failure at the normal primary IT facility of the bank. This move will now ensure that KASB Bank is able to provide uninterrupted IT based services on a 24 x 7 basis for 365 days a year.
BC&RS helps in preparing for and responding to a Disaster at Production locations. It gives access to on-site Technical Support during Testing and Invocation of disaster. Provides dedicated system configurations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, along with IBM licensed replication software for System i and System x.
