IBM Global Business Services have signed a project with Askari Bank Limited Pakistan for Enterprise Resource Planning being the largest value project for GBS Pakistan. Askari Bank is one of the largest commercial banks in Pakistan and has selected IBM Global Business Services to implement Oracle Financials and PeopleSoft HCM.
IBM consultants will manage the implementation of the Oracle Financials and PeopleSoft HCM and will also provide overall project management and applications expertise through system planning and design, system build and implementation of the new system. The project will help Askari Bank in maximizing value and quality of services it provides to its customers and remain competitive while achieving growth.
UBL Signed With IBM To Implement Hyperion Planning Systems
United Bank Limited (UBL) has acquired the services of IBM Global Business Services (GBS) to implement Hyperion Planning System (HPS). UBL is one of the Pakistan’s leading banks and its growth is exponential in the past few years.
This system will analyze existing processes and will reconfigure the system based on the current corporate planning, forecasting and budgeting model.
KASB Bank Upgrades Business Continuity And Resiliency Services From IBM
KASB Bank implemented a leading global core banking application Mysis, provided by IBM, in 2006. To ensure availability of online systems, KASB had also opted to host its backup IT infrastructure in the IBM Business Continuity and Resiliency Services Facility in Karachi.
KASB has now enhanced the availability of the backup IT infrastructure in BC&RS facility by moving to IBM Rapid Recovery services for System i and System x.
Rapid Recovery delivers real time data replication and automatic switching in case of any failure at the normal primary IT facility of the bank. This move will now ensure that KASB Bank is able to provide uninterrupted IT based services on a 24 x 7 basis for 365 days a year.
BC&RS helps in preparing for and responding to a Disaster at Production locations. It gives access to on-site Technical Support during Testing and Invocation of disaster. Provides dedicated system configurations 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, along with IBM licensed replication software for System i and System x.
