IBM Expands LotusLive Notes to 21 Major Languages

SINGAPORE, October 21 2010-- IBM today announced it will extend its new enterprise-grade cloud email service, LotusLive Notes, to 21 major languages including Brazilian Portuguese, Catalan, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish and Traditional Chinese, as well as English.

LotusLive Notes enterprise-class email is based on IBM's flagship messaging capabilities already used by millions of people worldwide. Building on deep experience in serving the enterprise, LotusLive Notes delivers feature-rich email, shared calendar, instant messaging and personal contact services, starting at only $5USD per user, per month.

"Collaborating in the cloud on LotusLive.com provides rich, reliable resources at low cost," said Mr Cheong Weng Seng, Lotus Software Country Manager, IBM Singapore. "It's a smarter way to work considering the market alternatives that are more costly and proprietary or lack the security, reliability and privacy of IBM's cloud services."

LotusLive delivers cloud-based, integrated email, Web conferencing, social networking and collaboration services to simplify and improve daily business interactions with customers, partners and colleagues -- all with IBM's focus on security, reliability and integration.

Using collaboration tools can help companies work on projects more smoothly and efficiently. For example, a construction company could use LotusLive to work with various vendors. The developer, job site managers, architects and others could use LotusLive tools such as an online Meeting to review design changes; File Sharing to store the design documents and updates to those designs; and an Activity to keep track of various components of the project -- such as tasks associated with electrical, plumbing and landscaping. All of this information is easily accessible by anyone working on the project, at any time.

The opportunity for business partners to resell LotusLive services is growing as the market opportunity for these services expands. Businesses can join the many companies around the world already using LotusLive services by visiting www.LotusLive.com.
