To date IBM has donated over 800 Young Explorers to schools in the 32 counties of Ireland. The IBM KidSmart Programme integrates interactive teaching and learning activities using the latest technology into the pre-school and primary school curricula.
“Over the past ten years in Ireland, IBM has helped well over 1,000 teachers with the KidSmart programme, supporting early years pupils to gain confidence, improve their literacy and numeracy, improve their motivation to learn and helping to develop young children’s social and communication skills", said Deirdre Kennedy, Corporate Citizenship & Corporate Affairs Manager, IBM Ireland.
