IBM dévoile la première initiative SOA à l’intention des partenaires, des éditeurs de logiciels et des intégrateurs

  
 

Paris, le 29 juin 2005 –- IBM annonce une toute nouvelle initiative pour aider ses partenaires, les éditeurs d’applications et les intégrateurs à mettre en œuvre des d’architectures orientées services (SOA) pour leurs clients.

Ce programme donnera aux partenaires accès aux ressources et au support d’IBM avec pour objectif de répondre aux besoins spécifiques de mise en oeuvre de SOA. Ce programme propose, entre autre, des formations exhaustives gratuites, des workshops, la mise à disposition de logiciels et des services, notamment en matière d’aide au déploiement SOA, dans le cadre de mises en oeuvre concrètes.

Pour aider ses partenaires, IBM met à leur disposition :
· De nouvelles ressources SOA gratuites au travers de IBM PartnerWorld Industry Networks (PWIN) qui comprend déjà des milliers d’éditeurs. Ces nouvelles ressources incluent des séminaires et une hotline (IBM SOA Partner Workshops and Architect Hotline) qui offre une formation gratuite de 3 jours via e-learning
· Des copies gratuites d’essai de WebSphere Business Integration Modeler (outil leader de l’industrie qui permet de simuler, optimiser et valider les processus métiers avant de les mettre en production)
· Des versions téléchargeables d’essai d’IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere, d’IBM Rational Functional Tester et d’IBM Rational Software Architect

Avec notamment WebSphere, Rational et Tivoli, IBM possède une gamme complète de produits et de services permettant d’aider les entreprises à tirer parti des avantages offerts par les SOA.

Unveils Tools, Resources, Education to Help Ease SOA Deployments

LONDON -- June 29, 2005 -- IBM today announced a new initiative to help IBM Business Partners, independent software vendors and systems integrators successfully implement Service-Oriented Architectures (SOA) with customers.

The initiative will enable participating Business Partners, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and Systems Integrators (SIs) to access IBM resources, assets and go-to-market support and is aimed at serving the needs of all partners implementing SOA, from neophytes to the most experienced SOA and Web services niche software providers. It includes a detailed compilation of no cost education, workshops, software and services complemented by SOA enablement engagements focused on SOA deployments with specific customers.

To help enable Business Partners for developing and deploying SOA solutions IBM, has new no cost SOA resources available through IBM's PartnerWorld Industry Networks (PWIN), which currently has thousands of companies developing solutions for IBM Software. These resources include business planning, technical enablement, co-marketing and selling resources aligned by industry and geography and are available for IBM Business Partners who adopt and endorse IBM's SOA strategy, and qualify through IBM's PWIN program.

Third party software vendors and systems integrators can count on IBM best practices to help support their SOA customer engagements, and ultimately the greatest value proposition is for customers,” said Steve Mills, senior vice president and group executive, IBM Software Group. “IBM is uniquely positioned to develop an SOA ecosystem to meet the needs of all Business Partners through its WebSphere® software, collective experience, resources and expertise from across the company.”

New resources include an IBM SOA Partner Workshops and Architect Hotline, a no cost e-learning interactive three day session for ISVs and systems integrators to develop the skills to successfully implement an SOA leveraging their applications and IBM software, including WebSphere®, Rational®, Tivoli®, DB2® and Lotus®.

Companies may also obtain free trial copies of WebSphere Business Integration Modeler, and Business Partners purchasing the "IBM PartnerWorld ValuePack" are eligible for free development licenses. WebSphere Business Integration Modeler is an industry leading tool to simulate, optimize and validate business processes before putting them into production. Further enabling Business Partner efforts to accelerate SOA deployment, IBM has also made available for trial download the IBM Rational Application Developer for WebSphere, the IBM Rational Functional Tester, and the IBM Rational Software Architect.

Business partners can also align marketing activities to IBM’s key messages and initiatives for SOA and Web services. IBM marketing and sales resources including advertising packages, demand generation resources, industry campaigns, new business opportunity development, proposal development, and opportunity management as well as joint Business Partner-IBM customer road shows through the WebSphere Live! Program.
