SNIA Europe Academy, 2008

The Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) is a non-profit organization made up of more than 300 companies and individuals spanning virtually the entire storage industry. SNIA Europe is dedicated to promoting the understanding and adoption of networked storage solutions for businesses both large and small in both public and private sectors. SNIA members share a common goal: to set the pace of the industry by ensuring that storage networks become efficient, complete, and trusted solutions across the IT community. To this end the association is uniquely committed to delivering open standards in storage, education and services that will propel open storage networking solutions into the broader market. SNIA Europe Academy events focus on the key technology areas and issues facing storage professionals today including: positioning IP Storage solutions alongside Fibre Channel, unravelling the myths surrounding Information Lifecycle Management and introducing the latest thinking around data management in the IT arena. As part of the main conference, Matthias Werner from IBM will be speaking about Storage Networking Standards : Recent developments at 13.30.

IBM is a worldwide member of the SNIA Academy, and also partnering with them at other events around the world. This is the first time SNIA are running the academy in this region, and we have partnered with them in order to show our leadership in the storage market.
