High-performers pitch in to help out IBM is sending a team of its high-performing employees to help Tanzanian wildlife and tourism organisations improve their business processes and profitability.
The initiative is part of the Corporate Service Corps (CSC) programme that aims to enhance the skills of IBM employees in working with diverse cultures, policy environments and people from different parts of the world in innovative, socially responsible ways. The team of nine IBMers will work with three nongovernmental organisations for a month. The employees are from countries such as the US, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Italy, Japan and Germany. Their areas of expertise include finance and planning, business operations, cost engineering, project management, marketing and media. The CSC is unique in that it shows how IBM is affecting and influencing society and business in innovative, socially responsible ways, said IBM sub- Saharan Africa MD Mark Harris. Sapa
