Brazil to expand IT
The
Brazilian IT Association - Brasscom - met with President Lula in Sao
Paulo on March 14th, to present an IT exports incentives package
proposal to create 100,000 new jobs in the country and reach US $5
Billion in IT services exports through 2011. The proposal was presented
by the CEOs of the 5 leading IT companies in Brazil--including Ricardo
Pelegrini, IBM Brazil CGM. The Brazilian government is preparing to
announce a new industrial public policy and it is expected that IT will
be a major development strategy, The policy will help IBM by allowing
for a more market-oriented employment environment.
