IBM released its 2nd Quarter 2009 results Thursday, July 16. The company reported that the earnings per share results were the highest for any first, second or third quarter in the company's history, adjusted for stock splits.

IBM annual shareholder meeting - "Moment of historic change"

IBM's Chairman and CEO Sam Palmisano presented the company's strategy and results to a group of shareholders, employees and retirees who gathered in Miami Beach, Florida, Tuesday (28 April 2009) for the annual meeting of stockholders. IBM Board approves 10% increase in quarterly cash dividend

The IBM board of directors declared a regular quarterly dividend declared a regular quarterly cash dividend of $0.55 per common share, payable June 10, 2009 to stockholders of record May 8, 2009.

IBM's Watson to take on Jeopardy! challenge

Alright everyone, here's today's final Jeopardy! clue. IBM is developing a computer system with this name to compete on Jeopardy! If you said "what is Watson", you are precisely correct. IBM's advanced Question Answering system named Watson will soon be taking on challengers in a planned human vs. machine competition on the popular game show. IBM 1st Quarter earnings - still on track to meet projections

IBM's Sam Palmisano gave an upbeat assessment Monday of the company's first quarter and full year outlook. "We are well-positioned to continue to move aggressively and leverage our strong cash performance to make the most of the opportunities that arise, including smarter planet initiatives and other strategic options. We remain ahead of pace for our 2010 roadmap of $10 to $11 per share," said Palmisano, IBM chairman, president and chief executive officer. IBM Reports "Terrific" 4th Quarter and Full Year 2007 Results

IBM on Thursday announced fourth-quarter 2007 diluted earnings of $2.80 per share from continuing operations compared with diluted earnings of $2.26 per share in the fourth quarter of 2006, an increase of 24 percent as reported. Fourth-quarter income from continuing operations was $4.0 billion compared with $3.5 billion in the fourth quarter of 2006, an increase of 14 percent.
