Environmental reporting, other disclosure & verification

IBM has been producing reports on its environmental programs and performance for many years and in a number of ways.

Annual environmental report

IBM's annual corporate environmental reporting first began in 1990 and has continued each year since.

Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Report

In addition, IBM reports on its environmental programs and performance in its Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Report. The company has also been participating in OneReport (link resides outside of ibm.com) since 2006, for the 2005 reporting year. OneReport consolidates data requests from leading research and rating agencies and consolidates them with the information requested in the GRI framework. Responding to the OneReport survey questions enables companies to simultaneously report to multiple organizations and produce a report in accordance with the GRI.

Corporate responsibility reports

The company's environmental stewardship also was incorporated into IBM's Corporate Responsibility Report for 2002, the first year of this report, as well as in its subsequent annual reports. A companion document to the company's financial annual report, the Corporate Responsibility Report provides an integrated overview of the economic, environmental and social dimensions of IBM's business activities, products and services. The environmental stewardship section may be found in Section Three "Environment: Innovating to avoid or reduce environmental impacts" of the current IBM 2008 Corporate Responsibility Report below or on the Corporate responsibility Web site.

IBM Briefing to the SRI Community

IBM held its first-ever Webcast with investors on the subject of corporate responsibility in March 2007. These events are being held annually. The 2009 analyst call took place in September 2009. Please see below for links to the Webcasts:
