New and enhanced applications

Boost productivity with AI-enabled recommendations
With the introduction of AI into the new Service delivery application in Maximo IT, agents and administrators will be able to execute faster work output with reduced ticket churn and quicker incident resolution. AI recommended ownership of incidents along with possible solutions and similar tickets will aid in decision making and actioning. For more information, see Integrating AI with Maximo IT.
Smarter work management with the Service Delivery application
Eliminate siloed views and improve workload visibility with a unified, dynamic workspace. Support teams can now proactively manage incidents in one place — improving collaboration and accelerating response times.

The Service Delivery application is an intelligent interface designed for Service agents, Service managers, and SREs. It provides task prioritization, real-time insights, and configurable views to streamline service operations. For more information, see Service Delivery.

Stronger IT-OT and Vulnerability management
Create a seamless bridge between IT, OT, IoT environments to improve asset visibility, risk response, and service security across the enterprise. Act on vulnerability alerts from security monitoring tools such as Claroty by following ITSM processes.

Maximo IT now integrates with Security alert and OT discovery tooling, allowing secure synchronization of OT, IoT, and IT assets. The integration supports asset discovery and imports alerts into Maximo IT, enhancing service readiness and cross-domain awareness. For more information, see IT/OT Security Integration.

AI Assistant Flexibility in Self-Serve
Chat with your preferred AI assistant. Reduce help desk workload and improve user satisfaction with customizable self-service experiences.

In addition to watsonx Assistant, Maximo IT now supports integration with other third-party AI assistant bots, expanding your virtual agent options for Self-Serve functionality. For more details, see Integrating with a virtual/AI assistant.

ChatOps and Swarm with Microsoft Teams Integration
Enable ticket viewing, updating and solutions without leaving Microsoft Teams. Users can stay productive in their existing collaboration tools and reduce time-to-action.
Maximo IT already integrates with Slack and now extends to Microsoft Teams, allowing users to submit and update tickets using ChatOps features directly within Teams. For more details, see Integrating with Microsoft Teams.
Visualize Service health with Service Topology
Gain instant clarity on service relationships and dependencies with a visual map. Improve root-cause analysis and reduce the time it takes to assess service health and impact.

The Service View application introduces Service Topology, a graphical interface that displays service components, assets, configuration items, and their relationships in an interactive diagram. For more details, see Service Topology.

Speed up request management with Manager Approvals
Improve governance and reduce unauthorized spend by introducing supervisor approvals for selected offerings.

Manager Approvals are now supported in Self-Serve, allowing service requests for specific offerings to be routed to designated managers before fulfilment. This ensures only authorized requests are processed. For more details, see Manager Approvals.

Performance and Security Boost with Java 17 Support
Ensure long-term platform stability, stronger security, and faster application performance with modern Java support.

Maximo IT 9.1 runs on Java 17, delivering enhanced JVM optimizations, reduced vulnerabilities, and better compliance with enterprise security standards ensuring future readiness of the platform.
