Summary
Wrap up
ebXML is a group of related specifications that cover:
- Analysis of Business Processes and Business Documents
- Documentation of a company's capabilities in such a way
that automated agreement is possible
- Document transfer between Trading Partners to achieve
specific business goals.
Businesses document their Business Processes and
Business Document structures using the BPSS. They document
their capabilities using a CPP, and their agreements
with Trading Partners using a CPA. Any or all of this information
may be stored in an ebXML Registry, where it is searchable.
Messages are sent from one application, known as
the Business Service Interface, to another using ebMS. Specifically,
the MSH sends messages using the SOAP with Attachments specification
so that information about the message is contained in a SOAP message,
and the documents themselves
are contained in various payload attachments.
