| | The ObjectGrid can be used by applications in several different environments.{excerpt} |
| | |
| | h3. Supported Environments |
| | |
| | An ObjectGrid application is configured to run in either a Java 2 Platform Standard Edition (J2SE) or Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) environment. In these environments, different ObjectGrid environments are supported. The two main types are core (intra-process or local) and distributed. A distributed ObjectGrid environment has both a client and a server ObjectGrid environment. A WebSphere Application Server supports more environments than other J2EE application servers due to the integration provided. The following table lists different supported environments: |
| | || Environment || Core || Client || Server || |
| | | J2SE | x | x | x | |
| | | WebSphere Application Server | x | x | x | |
| | | WebSphere Application Server (z/OS) | x | x | | |
| | | Other J2EE Application Servers | x | x | | |
