 Read the following for help performing basic wiki functions. For more help working in wikis, edit a page, click the *Wiki Markup* tab, and see the *Help Tips* on the right.

 h4. Logging in to IBM developerWorks
  
 You can view pages as an anonymous user, but you cannot comment on articles, edit articles, or create articles until you register with IBM developerWorks. To register, click *Log in* in the upper right corner, and provide an email address and password.
  
 h4. Editing pages
  
 To edit a page, click the *Edit* tab at the top of the page. To edit a page you must be logged into IBM developerWorks, and have edit access to the page.

 h4. Commenting on pages
  
 To comment on a page, scroll to the bottom and click *Add comment*. To comment on a page you must be logged into IBM developerWorks.

 h4. Creating articles
  
 To create your own article:
 # Navigate to the page that you want to be the parent page of the article. For example, navigate to the top level deployment page to create an article on deployment.
 # Click *Add page* in the upper right corner.
 # Name the page and add content.
 # Click *Save*.
 # Return to the parent page and add a link to the article, and a description.

 To create a link to an existing page:
 # Edit the page you want to link from.
 # Type the title of the page you want to link to.
 # Put brackets around the title.

 h4. Watching a page
  
 To be emailed with updates to a wiki page:
 # Open the page
 # Click the envelope icon in the upper right corner.
  
 To stop watching the page, click the envelope icon again.

 To be emailed with updates anywhere in the wiki:
 # Click the *Browse space* link in the upper right corner of any page.
 # Click the *Advanced* tab.
 # In the *Subscribe* section click the *Start watching this space* link.
  
 To stop watching the wiki, click the link again.

 h4. Receiving daily email updates
  
 To be emailed once a day with updates to wikis:
 # Open your IBM developerWorks profile by clicking your screen name in the wiki.
 # Click the Edit Profile tab.
 # In the Preferences section, click Email.
 # Select Subscribe to daily updates.
 # Select an email format.
 # Click Save.

 h4. Exporting a page or the wiki as a PDF file
  
 To export a single page as a PDF, click the PDF icon on the page you want.
  
 To export the entire wiki or multiple pages on the wiki to a PDF:
 # Click *Browse Space*.
 # Go to the *Advanced* tab.
 # Select *Export Space*.
 # Select *PDF* as your desired Export Format.
 # Select the pages you want to export. All pages are selected by default.
 *Tip:* If you only want a few pages, click Clear All to uncheck all the pages and go back and select the few pages you want to include in your PDF.
 # Click *Export*, at the bottom of the page, to create your custom PDF.
