You can use the following tools to report on SMF data, or write your own.

  • RMF
  • SAS / MXG
  • Tivoli Decision Support
  • Omegamon XE Family
  • The CMF Analyzer (part of BMC's Mainview) will report on Types  70 -78 and 240 records.
  • The BMC Performance Assurance for Mainframe will report on some SMF, RMF, DB2, CICS and some other subsystem records
  • athene from Metron-Athene will report on types  30, 70-78, 100, 101 and 110 records
  • ...
