Welcome to the z/OS Performance Instrumentation Management Techniques wiki.

This is a collaborative space where people (IBMers, consultants, vendors and customers alike) can contribute their experience.

Though primarily a wiki about SMF data management other System-provided instrumentation may be worth including.

To Contribute

This wiki requires a developerWorks screenname and for that screenname to be authorised to edit.

(Obtaining a screenname is beyond the scope of this document. Presumably somewhere near where it invites you to sign in there is an option to apply for a screenname.)

Once you have a screenname send an email to Martin Packer giving your screenname. He'll then authorise you and you'll be able to edit the wiki.

Let's keep it clean and non-contentious. For example, as this is an IBM-sponsored wiki it would be inappropriate for adverts for other companies' products to appear here. (It would, however, be OK to briefly mention another company's product - for completeness.)
