Java Standard Edition

Java Standard Edition (Java SE, formerly J2SE) (Wikipedia), one of the Java Technologies, is the edition of Java for developing desktop applications.

What is commonly called "Java" is actually three parts:

  1. The Java language
  2. The Java Foundation Classes
  3. The Java Runtime Environment

WebSphere Real Time is a RTSJ implementation of Java SE.
