Installing, Configuring, and Testing IBM Tivoli Network Manager IP Edition and Tivoli Business Service Manager Failover: This document includes procedures for installing and configuring a failover environment where IBM® Tivoli® Network Manager IP Edition (Network Manager) and Tivoli Business Service Manager (TBSM) have a common object server (OMNIBus) and Tivoli Integrated Portal server.

Migrating Realtime Active Dashboard 2.0 to Tivoli Business Service Manager 4.1.1: This page includes information about migrating Realtime Active Dashboard 2.0 to IBM® Tivoli® Business Service Manager 4.1.1.

Starting an advanced installation: This page provides instructions on how to start an advanced installation for TBSM 4.1.1.

Netcool OMNIbus installation prompts: TBSM monitors the Netcool/OMNIbus ObjectServer for service affecting events. The Netcool Common Licensing server is required for IBM Tivoli Netcool/OMNIbus version 7 release 1 or lower. Before you begin, install the Netcool Common Licensing software that is included with TBSM on the same host where you plan to install Netcool/OMNIbus. Use the default settings for the Netcool Common Licensing server installation. Click here for the PDF version.

Netcool Security Manager installation prompts: TBSM and Netcool/OMNIbus use the Netcool/Security Manager to configure user authentication and usage roles.  When you install the Netcool/Security Manager software, you need to enter the information in this table. Click here for the PDF version.

Event Integration Facility probe installation prompts: The Tivoli EIF Probe is used to support event flows from event source products such as Tivoli Enterprise Console, IBM Tivoli Monitoring , and NetView. Although you can install the Tivoli EIF probe on the TBSM 4.1.1 server, it is strongly recommended that the probe be installed at the event source server. Click here for the PDF version.

Tivoli Business Service Manager installation prompts: TBSM enables you to create hierarchical business service models and monitors the Netcool/OMNIbus ObjectServer and other data sources for data that affects the status of your services. Click here for the PDF version.
