Featured topics
Introduction to JavaServer Faces data templates - Generating JavaServer Faces (JSF) controls based on your existing JavaBeans or other data sources is quick and easy. This article explains how to use the data templates that are included with IBM Rational Application Developer, Version 7.5.4 or later, which give you greater control over which controls are generated and how the resulting page will look.
Java-to-Java mapping tool - This mapping tool is a new plug-in for Rational Application Developer V7.5. It provides a wizard that creates a mapping model. With this model, you can graphically design transformations for data, which you can then use to take information from one domain and transform it to another domain. The model generates a Java™ mapping class that takes JavaBeans™ as input and output and performs the transformations on the attributes automatically. By providing a graphical interface, the mapping tool can prevent mistakes caused by human error when doing the transformations manually and the interface makes it easier to visualize how the attributes will be mapped.
Debug and troubleshoot JavaServer Faces applications by using JSFTrace - JSFTrace helps developers get a better understanding of how JavaServer™ Faces technology works and how to debug their JSF applications faster and more efficiently. This article describes the JSFTrace feature introduced in IBM® Rational® Application Developer Version 7.5.4 and how to configure and use it for troubleshooting.
Migration planning for Rational Application Developer - A focused compilation of links to documents and resources to help you plan and perform migration of existing IBM Rational Applicaton Developer for WebSphere Software workspace and IBM WebSphere Application Server content.
