This page includes details about Version 6.1.0.5 cumulative intermediate fix 2 for the ObjectGrid component of WebSphere eXtreme Scale, which supersedes ObjectGrid Version 6.1.0.5 FIX 1 .

To apply this fix, you must first apply ObjectGrid Version 6.1 Fix Pack 5 (6.1.0.5).

Install the fix on ObjectGrid Version 6.1.0.5. Complete the following steps to install Version 6.1.0.5 cumulative Fix 2 for ObjectGrid:

1. Install IBM WebSphere Extended Deployment Data Grid Version 6.1
2. Download and install IBM WebSphere Extended Deployment Data Grid Version 6.1 Fix Pack 5 (6.1.0.5)
3. Download and install Version 6.1.0.5 cumulative Fix 2 for ObjectGrid. See XD_ObjectGrid_04-21-2009_6.1.0.5_cumulative_Fix .

Bug fixes

• Improved support for handling network interruptions such as brown outs. Quorum is now disabled by default to allow customers who are running on a local network to not be impacted by the strict quorum behavior. (PK84443)
• The xsadmin command-line tool has been enhanced with several new features. For instructions, run the xsadmin script without any parameters for help. The following features have been added:
  • Query core group placement.
  • Tear down a server or clean up server information for a server that is no longer running.
  • Set the eXtreme Scale trace specification for all processes in a grid.
  • Query and override quorum status.
• Fix an intermittent hang when stopping a container server using the stopOgServer command.
• Update the packaged ORB level to 6.0 SR4.
• EvictionEventCallback.evictMapEntries did not guarantee that the evictor's transaction was completed causing future LockTimeoutException.
• Reduce the memory footprint for batched replicated LogSequences.
• Embed WebSphere Application Server fix PK75575 which allows ORB connections to timeout correctly.
• Fix map permissions to support map names with periods ("."). (PK80284)
• BindException was thrown with SSL enabled in a WebSphere Application Server process (PK82939)
• Container MBean did not work when using a non-IBM Java Development Kit when using the ORB shipped with eXtreme Scale.
• Wrong security Subject could be used on the server side when using the EntityManager API.
• Allow SIP session attribute class types to be in the application ClassLoader.
• Fix a data integrity problem with the write-behind loader when write-behind is enabled for more than one map in a grid.
• Fix the client request retry logic to honor the transaction timeout, if set. If not set, the client will retry for 30 seconds.
