Integrating the FCKeditor into Lotus Quickr services for WebSphere Portal

FCKEditor is an open source editor that can be used as an alternative rich text editor in Lotus Quickr. See the FCKEditor web site for more information about this editor.

To enable FCKeditor as the wiki editor:

1. Extract the FCKeditor zip on your local desktop.
2. Paste all the contents of the zip into your Quickr Teamspace directory, such as \Quickr\WebSphere\PortalServer\installedApps\WCM_Teamspace_Portlet_10tw5qsh.ear\10tw5qsh.war
3. Log in to Lotus Quickr.
4. Go to the Teamspace that contains your Wiki portlet.
5. Go to Customize > Pages and then Advanced Layout.
6. Add another page to your teamspace and then deploy the WCM Web Content Authoring Portlet on it.
7. Notice in your teamspace you now have an additional tab - containing the Authoring UI. Navigate to that tab.
8. Configure the Libraries for the Authoring portlet and Add the Shared Resources Library.
9. In the Shared Resources Library navigate to Authoring Templates and find the Wiki-Page template.
10. Edit the template and go to the Default Content Settings section of that template.
11. Find your Rich Text Element and expand the properties section for that template.
12. In the Custom JSP field enter the name of the FCKeditor JSP, such as DefaultEditor.jsp
13. Apply the changes and save and close the authoring template.
14. Now go back to your wiki portlet and create a new wiki page.
15. You will now notice the FCKeditor as the default editor for the wiki body.

For the instructions given above I have assumed that you have left the default Wiki-Page authoring template as the default template for all wiki pages created via the settings section of the wiki portlet. If you are using another template besides the default, you can repeat exactly the same steps for that specific template that will probably contained in the Wiki library or any other library that you may have specified.
