SELinux policy requirement
The default security policy for SELinux may restrict applications' access to DB2 configuration files and shared libraries. A DB2 specific policy is provided as part of the DB2 installation. This policy will need to be adapted to your organization requirements.

Xen Hypervisor 3.1 Support
DB2 9.5 is validated for use in a Xen virtualized environment with the following configuration:

  • RHEL 5.2 (without paravirtualization) running as Domain-0
  • RHEL 5.2 (without paravirtualization) used as operating system on all guest virtual servers
