Recommended and Validated Environments for V8.2

The majority of IBM's experience is with building, testing and deploying DB2 Universal Database on the "Recommended" environments, while the "Validated" environments have undergone a rigorous set of compatibility tests that give IBM the confidence to officially support DB2 Universal Database on those environments.

Validated Environments for V8.2 and V8.1

If you are upgrading to DB2 UDB V8.2 from DB2 UDB V8.1, you may continue to use the Linux environments validated for DB2 UDB V8.1. However, DB2 UDB V8.2 products may no longer be supported on those environments once DB2 UDB V8.1 goes out of support.
