  • Technical introduction: to get started with DB2 XML,  "DB2 9: pureXML Fast Start and Overview"by Cynthia Saracco, Don Chamberlin, and Rav Ahuja (with a foreward from Sal Vella).  The book provides an overview of new DB2 support for XQuery, SQL/XML, XML Schemas, XML application development, and more.  Also includes a customer case study.
  • IBM Redbook:   DB2 9 pureXML Guide. This 400-page book, written by Whei-Jen Chen, Art Sammartino, Domromir Goutev, Felicity Hendricks, Ippei Komi, Ming-Pang Wei, and Rav Ahuja, discusses a wide range of technical topics on DB2 XML.
  • Application Development (Java)XML for Java Developers, with sections by Cynthia Saracco and Christine Law, is also available from DB2 Magazine and Quest Software.
  • Mirgration: Oracle to DB2 Conversion Guide - Converting to DB2 for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.  This book helps firms migrate from Oracle to DB2.  It includes a chapter dedicated to XML conversion topics.  The authors are:  Whei-Jen Chen, AnNa Choi, Arthur V Sammartino, Carlos Eduardo Abramo Pinto, Fraser McArthur, Marina Greenstein, Nora Sokolof, Scott J.
