Layout rules

Every page contains at least the following sections, implemented at header level 2:

• Introduction
  This gives an short introduction of the information presented on the page.
• Content
  This is the actual content of the page. Additional (sub)sections allow structuring the text for readability (in wiki markup: h3. and higher).
• See also
  This is typically a list of links to other pages on the internet or references to books and articles.
  

Here is an example of the initial layout of a new page in Wiki Markup language. When creating a new page, you can select a template to include these sections.

Moderation rules

In general, everyone logged in on the IBM developerWorks website is invited to contribute to this wiki, as long as it is within the scope of the competence domain of the wiki. However, access may be restricted temporarily or granted to specific persons (co-editors). Do become a co-editor, please send an email as listed on the Welcome page.

All users are committed to maintain the quality of the text, both for layout and content. To increase the readability, it is allowed to change the text and layout, as long as the layout rules are applied.

Users without edit access can still contribute to the pages by putting it in a comment. One of the (co-)editors can then add the contribution to the page.
