When posting instructor-only content to the WebSphere Instructor Wiki, it is important to restrict that content so only WebSphere instructors and WebSphere Education team members can view or edit those pages.

Due to how permissions are handled in the wiki, it is strongly recommended that you create a child page for restricted content.

To restrict who has the ability to view or edit a wiki page:

  1. Click the Edit tab of the page to open the wiki editor.
  2. Scroll down until you see the Restrictions pane.
  3. For both Restrict view to and Restrict edit to options:
    • Select the Group radio button and click the magnifying glass icon ( ).
    • A separate window should open with a list of user groups. Select the weinstructor_users radio button and click the Select group button.
You must be a member of the weinstructor_users group to see this group name as an option.

Click here more information on how to be added to weinstructor_users and getting access to instructor-only content on this wiki. NOTE: You must be an authorized WebSphere instructor or WebSphere Education team member to be added to weinstructor_users.

4. Save the page. The restrictions should now be set.
