Announcement – Changes to Instructor Feedback Submission Procedure – 2/24/2009
In order to better facilitate communication between instructors and WebSphere Education Development, changes have been made to the way course errata and other course feedback (such as suggestions for future versions of the course) should be submitted.
The submission procedure has two main steps:
- Post the information on the WebSphere Instructor Wiki.
- More information on where to do this is included below.
- E-mail the information to June Yoshii at jyoshii@us.ibm.com
.
- June is the central point of contact for instructor feedback. She will forward the information to WebSphere Education Development, and will also see that appropriate follow-up action is taken.
Changes to Course Pages
To help facilitate the exchange of information between instructors and Development, the following pages will be created for courses listed in the Courses section that do not already have similar pages. Older courses may already have similar pages in place.
- Instructor Course Feedback: Where instructors can post errata, suggestions, comments, etc.
- Development Feedback for Instructors: Where WebSphere Education Development posts responses and information on action taken to instructor-submitted errata, suggestions, etc.
- Official Errata Document: The page where the official WebSphere Education Errata Document will be stored (if any).
Errata Information
When posting or e-mailing errata, please include the following information:
- The date you found the error.
- The severity of the error (1 = Urgent, 2 = Important, 3 = Average).
- The precise location of the error (chapter and page in Student Notebook or Exercises Guide, presentation name and slide number, etc.).
- Any action or corrective measures that should be followed.
Development Response to Instructor Feedback
June Yoshii will post Development responses to instructor-submitted feeback on the Development Feedback for Instructors page.
If you feel that further action is required, contact Bob Bolduc, the WebSphere Education Lead Instructor, at bolduc@us.ibm.com
.
