Business-to-Business Integration (B2B) and Data Integration approaches. This new class of solution, called
"Service-Oriented Integration," (SOI) provides a common standard mechanism for integration among different
systems. Web Services-based SOI leaves behind the earlier approach to integration that explicitly declared
how systems interact through low-level protocols and object-oriented architecture and introduces a more
robust and adaptable approach. Web Services-based SOI uses looser interface protocols that allow systems to
