Informix in a Box for Campus Faculty and Students
We are excited to be offering the Informix in a Box program to campus faculty and students. In addition to free academic license editions of Informix software, we will send an ambassador to your school to teach students about various database related topics of your choice.

What topics are covered by Informix in a Box ?
Visit this link for the details.
I don't have time to have my students learn all of the topics offered. Can the Informix in a Box program be customizable?
Absolutely. The program is designed to be flexible. You can choose any of the topics you like and decide the time and schedule.
Who does this program target?
This workshop is targeted for students interested in knowing more about database technology. It is also of great value for those who are looking for a data server to integrate into their projects. Some basic knowledge of general database technology and functionality would be very helpful. The labs will be executed in a Linux® environment so a basic fluency in Linux/Unix commands, including the vi editor is helpful but not required.
What do students learn from Informix in a Box?
In this workshop, students will learn database architecture through Informix. Students will also learn about various tools available to access a database and application development environments. The session will also provide insight into object relational features in databases. Students will also get hands-on experience in creating a database environment and application development.
Do the students get something in return?
Yep, a certificate of completion and a free t-shirt! Of course, and knowledge of database technology.
This program sounds expensive. How much does it cost?
The program is completely FREE to interested faculty and students!
