Migration
This section provides a description about how to migrate your databases and applications from other relational database products to DB2. The complexity of the migration is determined by the several factors such as the size of your database, the use of product-specific features (not following standards), and the amount of stored procedures, functions, or triggers.
The IBM migration toolkit (MTK)is an excellent tool to make your migration smoother. The MTK currently supports migrations from MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server and Sybase.
As shown in this real life scenario
it is possible that your database and application be migrated in less than a day! So why not try it?
The DB2 Migrate Now
site has extensive info about DB2 migration.
