Introduction
WebSphere® Application Server - Enterprise Version 5 provides a business process engine called the process choreographer. One feature of the process choreographer is the ability to handle exceptional situations in a business process by specifying corrective actions for the activities in that process. This feature is called compensation.
WebSphere Studio Application Developer Integration Edition provides the wizards and necessary tooling to work with business processes, faults, and compensation. This tutorial presents the concept of compensation, describes its implementation, and demonstrates how to create compensation in a business process using WebSphere Studio Integration Edition.
