08 Apr 2009 The human task Portlet Generator is a new addition to
WebSphere® Integration Developer 6.2. This tutorial provides instructions on how to
create a process portlet application using the Portlet
Generator wizard.
Overview
Process portal plays a key role in certain service-oriented
architecture (SOA) applications. Yet, application integration between
portal and process server is usually not an easy task because it
requires programming efforts and consumes time. Now, WebSphere
Integration Developer provides a Portlet Generator wizard that
significantly improves the development process.
Objectives
- Learn how to rapidly build a business process application.
- Learn how to customize a human task portlet with minimal
effort.
Prerequisites
You need a basic understanding of WebSphere Process Server, WebSphere
Portal, WebSphere Integration Developer, and the Process Portal
concept.
System requirements
To follow the example in this tutorial, you need WebSphere Integration
Developer with the Portal Toolkit. You also need WebSphere Process
Server and WebSphere Portal to run the generated human task
portlet.
Duration
This tutorial takes about 6 hours to complete.
