18 Feb 2009 Learn about recovering WebSphere® Commerce V6.0 instance
creation failures and save a great amount of time by resuming the instance
creation process at the last error.
In this tutorial
Creating a WebSphere Commerce instance is the first step when you create a
working WebSphere Commerce server environment. While this process is
generally trouble free in most cases, site administrators may encounter
issues because every environment is different. Everything from the
operating system to the topology used can be a factor in the instance
creation failure. This tutorial explains the process of recovering from
the failure so that you can resume the instance creation from the point of
failure.
Objectives - Identify the root cause of the instance creation
failure.
- Recover from the failure and resume instance creation from the
point of failure.
Prerequisites
This tutorial is for system administrators. You need to be
familiar with the WebSphere Commerce installation and update and instance
creation process. Basic knowledge of WebSphere Application Server, XML, and Ant
targets are required.
System requirements
You need an environment with the WebSphere Commerce
server V6 installed.
