This tutorial shows how to use WebSphere® Extended Deployment as a quality of service extender in an enterprise Web infrastructure, including how to set up a WebSphere XD multi-cell routing scenario.

This tutorial discusses the concepts of using IBM® WebSphere Extended Deployment (hereafter called WebSphere XD) as a quality of service extender in an enterprise's Web infrastructure. It gives you the opportunity to leverage WebSphere XD's advanced features and to improve your middleware's quality of service level. The tutorial shows step-by-step instructions on how to setup a WebSphere XD multi-cell routing scenario.

System requirements

  • You will need two installations of WebSphere XD 6.0.2 (two cells) on top of WebSphere Application Server ND 6.0.2.
