This tutorial uses a simple scenario to illustrate the steps involved in integrating WebSphere® Data Interchange with WebSphere Business Integration Connect Enterprise Edition. The author, Ronan Dalton, takes a step-by-step approach in configuring each application involved in the development of the scenario. Scripts are also provided as a "fast path" to completion. Finally, it provides the steps involved in testing the solution and discusses some of the utilities used to achieve the end goal.

Objectives - Integrate WebSphere Data Interchange with WebSphere MQ.
- Invoke a Data Transformation Map in WebSphere Data Interchange triggered by a WebSphere MQ queue.
- Configure a JMS queue for use with WebSphere Business Integration Connect Enterprise.
- Integrate WebSphere Data Interchange with WebSphere Business Integration Connect via WebSphere MQ /JMS.
- Send EDI transactions via AS2 between WebSphere Business Integration Connect Express and WebSphere Business Integration Connect Enterprise.
Prerequisites
This document assumes some knowledge of working with and administering WebSphere MQ. A knowledge of the Java Messaging Service (JMS) and WebSphere MQ's implementation of JMS is also recommended.
System requirements
In order to successfully complete this tutorial, the following software is required:
- WebSphere Data Interchange Server V3.2 with CSD8 or higher.
- WebSphere Data Interchange Client V3.2 with FixPack7 or higher.
- IBM DB2 UDB Enterprise Edition V8.1 with FixPack2 or higher.
- WebSphere MQ V5.3 with CSD4 or higher.
- WebSphere Business Integration Connect EnterpriseVersion 4.2.0
- WebSphere Business Integration Connect ExpressVersion 4.2.0
Important: WebSphere Business Integration Connect Enterprise V4.2.0 requires Red Hat Enterprise Linux Advanced Server V2.1.
