Architects, system administrators, and developers will learn about the inner workings of the components that make up WebSphere Partner Gateway and how to securely process documents with the help of four AS2 scenarios. This article also discusses the AS2 specification and the architecture of WebSphere Partner Gateway.
This article dives deeply into the architecture of IBM® WebSphere® Partner Gateway to explain how the interactions using the Applicability Statement 2 (AS2) specification are achieved. It analyzes the AS2 specification and explains the standardized security methods.
The four scenarios that make up the final part of this article cover synchronous and asynchronous AS2 interactions in both directions (into WebSphere Partner Gateway and out of WebSphere Partner Gateway). Each step that is taken by either Partner in the interaction is noted and the component that performs the task is highlighted. This will help both experienced and inexperienced users of WebSphere Partner Gateway understand how documents are processed.
