This tutorial helps you customize the store creation wizard that is available in WebSphere Commerce V5.6. The store creation wizard lets you use the extended sites and hosted business models to provide unique storefronts for various customers while maintaining a common set of storefront assets.

This tutorial is for WebSphere® Commerce store developers. Upon completion of this tutorial, you should be able to:

  • Create a store using the store creation wizard.
  • Customize the store creation wizard to add new functions.

This tutorial should take about 2 hours to complete.

You should have the Extended Sites business model already published. For help on publishing store models, see Publishing a store archive from the Administration Console.

You will need WebSphere Commerce V5.6 Toolkit installed and configured before you start the tutorial.
