This article provides detailed directions for installing IBM® WebSphere® Portal Version 5 in a Windows 2000 Server environment in such a way that it can be easily copied to another computer without having to re-install the sofware.
Enterprises frequently need to install multiple complete environments. By cloning these environments, they reduce start-up time, and become more productive. This article shows you how to create a WebSphere Portal environment image using VMware® which is transportable to other computers which also have VMware installed.
